Product Details
A timeless design classic is the S 64 V chair, designed by Marcel Breuer in the late 1920s, which is now considered one of the most famous cantilever chairs of the 20th century. Thonet has been manufacturing this iconic chair, crafted from a solid chrome-plated tubular steel frame, comfortable cane webbing, and high-quality solid wood, since 1930. Measuring 58 x 82 x 62 cm, this chair not only boasts comfortable armrests but also blends seamlessly into a variety of interior design styles. The cantilever chair impresses with its aesthetic simplicity and the airy, light Viennese cane webbing, making it a perfect fit for conference rooms, waiting rooms, or even the home dining area. The elegant S64 V cantilever chair from Thonet is also available in an armless version under the model name S 32 V.

Thonet began with the work of the cabinetmaker and craftsman Michael Thonet, who opened his first workshop in Boppard on the Rhine in 1819. With his delicate and elegant chairs, and by experimenting with and applying innovative woodworking techniques, Michael Thonet achieved more than just regional renown. In 1853, Michael Thonet renamed the company Gebrüder Thonet (Thonet Brothers).
