The Walter Knoll development team, together with EOOS, has completely rethought the technology of a shell chair. The innovation of chAIR technology lies in the seat shell: it features hidden openings in the seat and back. In the seat area, straps are arranged in the openings in the shape of a palm leaf. This creates a pleasantly springy seating sensation. At the same time, the openings serve as ventilation. After a long life cycle, all materials can be easily separated and recycled by type.
