The Jioni carpet by Walter Knoll , designed by Helmut Scheufele's "Jioni" is part of the "Legends of Carpets" collection, which translates African landscapes and colors into hand-knotted works of art. "Jioni" means "dusk" in Swahili and symbolizes the beginning of night. The carpet is made from 45% silk, 35% Tibetan highland wool, and 20% nettle fibers, and is characterized by its low pile height. It is produced in family-run workshops in Nepal using traditional Tibetan knotting methods, making each piece unique.
