The Jangwa rug by Walter Knoll is a tribute to the archaic beauty of wild landscapes. Inspired by the structure and colors of dry savannas and vast steppes, Jangwa brings the tranquility and pristine nature of the outdoors into modern living and working spaces. Jangwa – Swahili for desert – is crafted from 33% Tibetan highland wool, 33% Chinese silk, and 33% nettle fibers, evoking Africa’s legendary stone and sand landscapes. An African proverb says: "If you get lost, you learn the way."
