The Akiki rug by Walter Knoll is an exclusive silk rug created in collaboration with textile designer Helmut Scheufele. Its design is inspired by agate – "Akiki" in Swahili – the stone of inner balance and stability. The rug is hand-knotted in Nepal under fair working conditions and uses only ecologically sourced materials.
Crafted from the finest Chinese silk in brilliant colors, the Akiki rug creates a unique shimmer and charming light reflections. It is part of Walter Knoll's "Legends of Carpets" collection, which is inspired by the landscapes and colors of Africa.
