The Wooden Dolls by Alexander Girard are a large family of wooden figures that represent human and animal characters. These originals are in Girard's estate in the Vitra Design Museum and are the inspiration for the current re-edition: True to the original, the many different Wooden Dolls are still made and painted by hand today - like the first ones by Alexander Girard. And even if the differences are very subtle: in fact, each wooden figure is a unique, individual specimen that only exists once.
