These original pieces are part of Girard's estate at the Vitra Design Museum and serve as the basis for the current re-edition: True to the originals, the many different Wooden Dolls are still handcrafted and hand-painted today – just like the first ones by Alexander Girard. And even if the differences are subtle, each wooden figure is a unique, individual piece, existing only once.
