Vipp / Vipp592 Sculpture table / table lamp

The Sculpture series from Vipp is an elegantly composed series of lamps, where the lampshade is made of three-layer opal glass and the base is made of beautiful marble. The table lamp is the ideal companion for the coffee table, bookcase or bedside table. Due to the lamp's built-in LED bulb, which is hidden under the ribbed lampshade, Sculpture emits a soft and pleasant light that is ideal as mood lighting. If you want the light to be brighter, there is also the option of using the built-in dimmer, which allows you to adjust the expression of the lamp's light to your own liking.

Sometimes a lottery win leads to more than just a momentary excitement. Vipp founder Holger Nielsen won a car with his ticket to the local football stadium in 1932 - this marked the beginning of Vipp. But he didn't know it yet. He sold the car, bought a metal press and a few years later, when his wife Marie needed a bucket for her hairdressing salon, he went into his one-man workshop and made what is now known as the Vipp Pedal Bin.

Holger could not have imagined that the pedal-operated bucket he designed in 1939 would ultimately lay the foundation for an entire design universe of accessories, furniture and kitchens. Nor could he have guessed that it would be the catalyst for a design hotel concept.

Vipp remains an independent, family-owned Danish design company run by Holger's daughter, Jette Egelund, her two children Kasper and Sofie, and 55 employees in Copenhagen, Denmark.
