What is known today as a box spring bed was developed by the Schramm manufactory as early as the 1950s and has been continuously perfected over the decades: The two-mattress system, or the three-mattress system in the "Grand Cru" product line, forms the core of the company. The custom-made beds and sleep systems are still manufactured using traditional handcrafting techniques.
