Kartell / Eur / Outdoor Stool

The Eur Stool by Kartell is a design by the designer Fabio Novembre and impresses with its unusual appearance in graphic design. EUR stands for Esposizione Universale di Roma, a district of Rome. The stool represents a cube whose shapes and geometries are inspired by Italian rationalist architecture. The cuboid stool is made from a solid piece of thermoplastic technopolymer, which was then provided with numerous recesses reminiscent of individual windows. This gives the stool a certain lightness that fits perfectly into any ambience. With a graphic, almost sculptural touch, the stool sets modern accents and can be used as a side table, shelf, footstool or alternative seating option as required.

Kartell was founded in 1949 by Giulio Castelli. His son-in-law, Claudio Luti, took over the company in 1988 and brought new ideas to the company, as well as new designers, such as Piero Lissoni. Kartell's big breakthrough came in 1999 with the production of furniture made of polycarbonate. Today, Kartell is characterized by industrial production of the highest quality.
