The manufacturer Contardi, hailing from the heart of Italy's furniture industry, the Brianza region, launched its first original product in 2006. They had previously produced other products through collaborations with designers, but not under their own name. Father and son divided the roles: the father designed the prototypes, while his son, Achille Carcano, took care of managing the company. They remain successful with this approach to this day.
