Cassina / LC2 / Armchair
The armchair was designed for comfortable conversation and was exhibited at the Salon d'Automne in Paris in 1929 as an archetype of the modern conception of furnishings, understood by the designers as "household objects". The independence of the metal frame and cushions is in line with the principles of rationalism, as is the separation between the parts, which follows the logic of industrial production and is inspired by the architectural relationship between the supporting structure and the masonry.
