Produced in 1957, the 699 Superleggera wooden chair is an exclusive synthesis of the architect's studies and the company's great spirit of experimentation in Meda, becoming an undisputed icon and a masterpiece of modernity with its extreme artisanal elegance. It took Gio Ponti years to perfect this chair, working on the triangular cross-section of the 18 mm thin legs until he achieved its current light weight of only 1,700 grams.
