The Kabuki floor lamp is made using the injection moulding process. The technical sophistication of this process makes it possible to obtain a structure with a pattern that imitates lace, and the special perforated surface diffuses the light.

Kartell was founded in 1949 by Giulio Castelli. His son-in-law, Claudio Luti, took over the company in 1988 and brought new ideas to the company, as well as new designers, such as Piero Lissoni.
